1. The Service

EchoScribe (demo company placeholder) ("EchoScribe") provides automated transcription, translation and summarisation of audio and video, a browser extension and an API. Automated transcripts may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing output before relying on it.

2. Accounts and plans

You may use the Service without an account within the free limits. Plans, limits and prices are shown on the pricing page. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can cancel at any time from the account page and keep access until the end of the paid period. Credit packs do not expire. Prices exclude VAT where applicable; EU businesses can enter a VAT ID at checkout.

3. Acceptable use

You must have the right to transcribe the content you upload or capture, including consent of recorded persons where required by law. You may not use the Service to process content that is unlawful, that infringes third-party rights, or to build a competing service by systematically extracting output. API usage is subject to fair-use rate limits.

4. Your content

You retain all rights to your audio, video and transcripts. You grant EchoScribe the licence needed to process them to provide the Service. We do not use your content to train models.

5. Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced where possible.

6. Liability

To the extent permitted by law, EchoScribe is liable only for intent and gross negligence, and for breaches of essential contractual obligations limited to foreseeable, typical damage. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

7. Termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms after notice where feasible.

8. Governing law

The laws of the country in which EchoScribe (demo company placeholder) is established apply, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence. The EU online dispute resolution platform is available at https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
